my raw ones are so grippy that sometimes when i fully take off the top cap of my stem, the bars will stay in place unless i apply force

That really sucks honestly. Can we get a close up pic of those things? I kinda wanna see how bad it is?

Does it look like an abnormality in the machining process or something? Maybe contact them and see if that is the case. Or danscomp or whoever you bought from. I contacted Danscomp when i received the wrong size headset cap and they were really nice and told me just to swap it out and send them it real quick and like 4 days later i had a new one that works!

Check your stem.

The knurling from the previous bars might have been pressed into your stem forcing your bars to follow the knurls on your stem, forcing it to be out of center.

The fact that you can't get them centered is YOUR fault. You never once mentioned that the knurling is off center which further leads everyone to believe still your fault, not the bar's fault.Let's add in that Steve's raw set has plenty of knurling and your black set supposedly doesn't. Sounds like user error once again. Have you even attempted to sand the paint off the knurling yet? I'm gonna assume that answer is a no.

i haven't had trouble with them slipping just getting them in there evenly centered

i barley can see the knarl, i was gonna use some paint stripper on them but decided to get them in evenly and hope for the best hahaha

why not measure the length of your stem (the area that clamps the bars), then measure the length of the bar (the area that the stem clamps). then do some math and draw in the lines to indicate where to center the bars.

its pretty easy to eyeball the knurling even on both sides, get calipers if you're that anal about it

i know believe me usually i have like 20 pictures of whats going on but as you can see above my camera is not working gotta warranty my phone here soon

btw came today to say so far i don't believe the bars have moved much during my sesh bike feels really odd but good, hopefully ill be able to ride 100 percent when i am fully healed from nearly getting beaten to death head still feels odd
