1.95 is the sweet number for me. Maybe 2.10, but I'm happy with these.

Thinner profile, feels more solid at high PSI ratings, is faster, oftentimes lighter by default, never deal with tires rubbing the frame/brake arms, makes the bike feel more agile.

I hate fat tires lol. All in the name of personal preference, though.

I'm running 2.5 and like them for these reasons..

1) They're taller, making my 25/9 feel a bit steeper..

2) They seem more stable on really slow stuff..

3) When it comes to using my foot, stopping, scuffing, foot jams, the increased size allows for more contact and better grip with my shoe.

4) No room and no need for a butt plug in my steering tube..

5) Landings are more cushioned.

6) Makes my bike literally taller..

7) Looks badass like it'll go over anything..

My next tires I want to try are the 2.45 Aitkens..

I like a fat tire for foot jams in front, but my need for speed makes me go skinnier. Running 2.25 front 2.1 rear on my roast bike and 2.3 front and rear on my street setup. Wish I could do like a 2.35 front and 2.25 rear and still have it haul as much ass as my skinny setup

i like my 2.25 donnasqueaks. i feel 2.25 is the best midpoint between fat and skinny tires, so you get a good mix of good speed and good street use which also helps as i don't have one preferred riding style; i like to ride everything. i also run an XL rim in the front so the front tire is a little bigger too.

I rode 2.4s for the last 2 years and really like them

Just got 2.3s but its too soon to judge

I mostly rode 2.2" in high school / college, but I've been running mostly 1.9" for the last 20 years or so. A little more traction than the classic 1.75, but still tight enough to carve and pivot, works well for street, park, and flat. I might go larger for riding dirt, but that doesn't happen much anymore.

I like 1.9-2.1 but I got a set of 2.3 Merritt tires and I’m liking them so far.

I’ve always liked tyres with a bigger profile, I think it’s my moto background. It looks so tough, and it feels more confidence inspiring having that extra area for carves. Favourite all-round tyres are the Fly Ruben Ramperas or Odyssey Aitken Streets. Since I almost never ride trails anymore (I don’t have a spot), I like slicker set ups. I’ve just gotten the Cult Walsh tyres which I like, but it’s too soon to call.

Yea I won them on Instagram lol. They don’t rub my front or rear brakes so I’m happy, but I’m ready to go back to 1.9ish tires lol

just to add: 2.5s pop, looks wise but I must admit they feel sluggish and make manuals less light and airy and more struggling.
