I once did a WTP facebook contest where the winner would be the person who guessed the time and date at which they'd reach a certain amount of likes. I SWEAR I was among the top "pickers" the "wtp page" never announced a winner. Fuckers kept me running home from school for like 1 month straight. After that I deleted my FB

winner would win a WTP envy frame.

I've never won a contest online.

Oh and Lorenzo, what's up with the 'how much does your family earn' question on the survey? Why is it relevant?

I assumed that they would look for a correlation between the yearly income and the products they buy.

ROFLAGES! Albes Free Tshirt! That is utter quality! I also wondered WTF was up with the what is your families income question!? I mean my Dads retired, I am on incapacity benefits & my Mum is a Financial Direct for a large care home charity. We have a pretty normal life really, we aren't rich, we have bills to pay shit like that. To top it off, i actually have no idea what my Mums salary is so I wouldn't be able to answer that question anyway haha. But why does a BMX Website & Forum need to know how much money its members are bringing in lol?!

I believe it's to make up a rough estimate off how much the Bmx industry is worth. A.K.A how much money can a company make by going into the bmx industry (monster, redbull, etc.) It's business. Knowning the amount of people that ride bmx is great but knowing how much they make and what parts they buy and how often is even better. This way companies "read our minds" you give them feedback and they make parts that the majority of people like.

Ever heard the phrase "sex sells" most companies put attractive women to represent them because sexual intercourse is a natural instict and it makes us more prone to buy things. Mentally you may not be thinking I want to bone that model so bad but instinctively it's there. Same with calvin klein models Victoria Secret they sell you something that isn't real.

God, sometimes I wonder if my correcting people is the reason not many people talk to me >.>

Sorry guys, I had to get it out there best to have an educated society than an uneducated brainwashed one. No one ever really reads my shit either way so I guess it's all cool.

First off.. I read the whole thing smile Secondly.. There is nothing wrong with what you have said. Its not really "correcting" its more like explaining. I do understand the whole idea of it all, i know as you said its to gauge how much money the average BMXer or their parents have to spend on bike parts. In that questionnaire they asked about almost every single part of your bike & what you planned to buy & if you planned on buying a complete or building a custom. As you said its like the companies "read our minds" I know for a fact a lot of companies have at least one of their staff checking out Forums to see if people are talking about their parts &/or how they can update the parts, new colours, graphics even specs sometimes! I have been riding for 13 years, i have worked in shops & i know quite a few Pro riders (I will not name drop) I have been talking to a couple of company owners about a few different parts & i actually am hoping to get a set of pegs i have designed prototyped! The whole Sex Sells B.S Has never interested me, I am a parts nerd. I would much rather decent photos of the part with a full run down of the specs, Say Bars, Upsweep, Backsweep, Tubing specs I.E Gauge & Material, Features such as the duel radius bends & the colour options too.

I totally understand how you feel. I am as i mentioned a parts nerd, There isn't really anything i don't know about modern BMX parts! I ALWAYS do my best to help out people, be it in real life or on Forums. I know all about the specs & how things work. You can ask a few people on here, I always help, i suggest parts & explain why they should be purchased & used. I am currently helping BMXstreethops plan out his new bike & i am explaining everything to him part by part. I like to think of myself as a BMX Guru grin

Stay Cool Buddy.
