10t for more acceleration. 8t for more top speed. and buying a sprocket would probably be cheaper. 23t for more acceleration and 28t for more top speed

Get a 28t sprocket. It'll be harder to pedal at first but you can go faster over time. Good for high speed riding or if you want to be able to pedal at a higher speed to go faster.

28t sprockets put more strain on the chain though so lube that shit up with Castrol chain lube and keep a slight eye on it. If you really wanted to , you can upgrade to 10/30 ratio. That's pretty fast though haha.

I wouldn't run anything above 28t sprocket if you have a 9t driver , just a heads up. Too much chain stress.

28T, when compared to 25T, puts less stress on the chain. Not only do you have a bigger sprocket, which reduces wear, but the angle your chain makes when wrapping around the driver is smaller. That's assuming you use the same amount of force when pedaling though.

Also, 30/10 is slower than 28/9...

Bigger sprocket and same size driver puts less stress on the chain.

30-9 is the way to go

If youre determined to get a new hub/driver, 8t. 25/8 is virtually the same as 28/9 however there is much more tension on the chain due to the smaller driver. These gearings make it harder to pedal, easier to accelerate, raise top speed, SLIGHTLY boost engagement, and make backpedaling fakies somewhat slower and more relaxed.

I personally ran 25/8 for a long while and it was by far my favorite, though you must be careful which chains you use because the 8t WILL shred them! I had bad experiences with Shadow/Cult Halflinks and 710/410/510 full links. I ran my 410H on it for over a year and never busted a link so IMO thats the best chain to run on that gearing.

Best way to determine your gear ratio is to divide your sprocket tooth by your driver tooth.

Just keep in mind, higher gear ratio and lower driver tooth both add a ton of extra tension onto the chain. I would recommend NOT running anything below a 10t or higher than a 3.1 without a heavy duty chain (KMC 410H, 510HX, Odyssey Bluebird, Keychain, Wipperman 1g8, 1r8, Fly Tractor, etc.)
