Iron maiden can get me pumped pretty easy. Usually it's upbeat songs that I listen to

Yeah don't over think it, I did a 8 set the other night that I used to do when I was a kid, being an adult and just riding a year after 10yrs off my bike I kept thinking bout how I wanted to do it and then when I got to the spot I'd be at the top of the set over thinking it and would end up never doing it then the other night I didn't even think about it just blasted down the muva fukaz

After I did it I was like WTF that was easy dunno what as the fuss was about, that's what i like about riding brakeless most of the time on things like that if your riding fast enuff you just gotta get it done cuz there's no backing out at that speed.

Musics good for getting psyched tho, and beer.

When i had my accident it was Metal, putting on a helmet for "protection" (didnt really do much to save me lol) & a few of my friends who where also in the "zone" attempting things they where pumped on. It didnt go well tbh haha now im on a large concoction of painkillers (including morphine!) nerve blockers & anti-inflammatorys REEEEAAALLY not good!!

I'll set the scene, i was a street rider. Ive always been brakeless. At the time i was learning hop whips, me & a couple of the gang were riding a ledge at my local skate park (which was a shitty dilapidated metal park) I couldnt & still cant ride skate parks lol. I decided to haul ass at the spine tried the whip lost it about half way tried to get back on the bike got half ways over the bike, rear wheel hit the top of the spine (And Taco'd big styley!) I went flying forward head & shoulder into the floor from about 6 foot in the air. I split my helmet into about 5 pieces, i was pretty shocked at that. I was unconscious for a little whiles. I developed Epilepsy from the head trauma. I broke my ACJ in my right shoulder, some of the bone fragments got lodged in the joint. I had key hole surgery to remove the bone fragments & just a general clean up of the joint to make sure it didnt fall apart. Well i have damaged a nerve & over the last 8 years it has got progressively worse. From the start of this year its been real bad, i mean like sheer agony. So i had an appointment to see a shoulder specialist (which is in a couple of weeks now) but wednesday night i was in the worst pain i have ever been in. Ambulance was called & i had an emergency appointment booked at my doctors surgery. I went down thursday & i am now taking, Morphine, Tramadol, Diclophenac, Really stronger Paracetamol & Gabepentin for the pain. My Doctor is convinced i have something called Regional Nerve Syndrome. Not a great deal is known about it but it stems from nerve damage & it sends mixed signals to other nerves & then basically your fucked. Nerves can be surgically removed but in studies its shown that it doesnt really help alot. So i will be on the drug concoction i mentioned earlier quite probably for the rest of my life.

Sorry for the essay guys but that pretty much explains the whole situation.

Up until the last couple of months i have been riding, just cruising around with my mates to spots & sitting watching smoking alot of tobacco lol. The opiates stuff has actually already done damage. Ive been on Tramadol for a couple of years now & unfortunately my doctor thinks ive developed Diabetes. Had some blood tests done today & should know the results monday.

Edit: Totally worth it haha, i hope i will get some what sorted, i dont know how long it will take to be as close to sorted as possible but im getting myself a flat rail for the back garden & will hopefully just grind the shit out of it lol.

Thanks guys, means alot. Wouldnt wish this shit on anyone. Just be careful when you're gunna try something big. My advice is to wear a helmet even if its just for the 1st try & when you've got it dump the helmet & film it without haha.

4/12/2013 1:53 PM

That's brutal man. But most people would avoid bikes after something like that so it's fucking awesome that you still ride

IMO, keep your Helmet on even when you Film it. I understand not everyone wants to wear a Helmet but if your reasoning is "I'll look stupid in my edit with it" then it's pretty stupid.
