Not necessarily

A few have different styles. Some bearings have a rubber seal on both sides, some only have them on the one side. Not a huge deal or issue, but personally I've had less issues with the kind with only one seal on them.

The ones with two seals on them would always fall apart on me for some reason and when I removed my fork, the inner piece to the bearing would come out with it and the bearings themselves would then pop out which was pretty annoying. Never noticed any difference in performance though, they spun just the same.

So that being said, just go with whatever top cap you like or brand you like.

Fiend and Eclat are good, Cult has a nice topcap but the bearings are shit. All bearings are not the same , some are made better then others. If you chose the Eclat, get it. The bearings are definitely better constructed then most.
