I weigh 208 lbs and ran a 36 rear wheel for like 4 years. It will be fine. Oh and in that time period I learned 540s. G-Sport makes amazing parts.

Only reason I have a 48 now is because I picked up a profile cassette and a ti 9t driver for under 80 bucks.

When you get 7ka's for 50$ in 48's...it's either that or pay 90$ apiece for 36 holes...

Im building a new rim in a few weeks(income tax time!!)and am going to run a ratchet and a 7-ka with mutany butted spokes,it's going to be sweet!,and by the way it's not heavy! i don't think it's over 18oz.

the hole 36 vs 48 thing is outdated. 48s where used mainly because spokes/rims werent as strong as they are today.

Who dug this old shit up?
Oh yea, the Ratchet is the shit! Mine's fine and holdin up great.
BTW,im 210 lbs of USDA American beef and 36 spoke holds up fine!,so does my 3/8 Marmosete front hub!!!
So any of u fuckin 135-160 lb gromets who think ya have to run 48 spoke and 14mm axles to have a strong set-up are sadly mistaken!!!

|
