I think you mean 2.25. that number is referring the the width. The tire probably says 20x2.25 right?

20x1.75
Some companies are making wider rims now. But, 20x1.75 has been industry standard for years. Unless you race, then you might want a 20x1.50.

I have always ran 20x1.75 on my bikes and have been riding 30+ years. I have a 2.35 in front and a 2.0 in back (tire size). No problem at all. I would suggest a GSPORT or Odyssey rim if you can afford it. GSPORT will last you forever as long as you check your spoke tension now and then. Odyssey is similar, however they will fail before a GSPORT. My old GSPORT wheels I sold (after owning them 3yrs) and I ran into the guy who bought them...they are still in great shape after 2yrs. So, that is 5yrs worth of riding, true I ride hard and he was pretty much new to BMX when he bought them. Still not many companies can say a rim lasts 5yrs plus

Practically any 20" rim for BMX will be fine. Just don't get a rim that's intended for racing.

Start here. As the top of the page says, these rims are for "street, dirt (jumping), flatland, and park". If it helps get your search started, I run an Odyssey Hazard Lite in the front and rear.

Glad to do it!

When you go to that link, notice in the listings that the size for all of those rims is 20x1.75, like what Gack2000 alluded to above.

You're over complicating the matter, it's quite simple. smile

Here, you see the "20" in 20x2.25? Right in the beginning? Okay, only pay attention to that now. That 20 means that all 20" rims are compatible with the tire. Now, the "2.25" bit of the information. As stated above, when inflated, the tire will be 2.25" in tread width.

So, as an added example, a 26x1.65 tire will fit a 26" size rim and will inflate to 1.65" width.

Hope this helps!
