in the uk a website called alansbmx laces it for ya for £2.00 which is about $3.20 if you buy the parts from them at one time, otherwise its £5.00 ( $8.00) smile

i doubt for how long it would take alans actually use a real life person, i think they use a machine hence it so cheap, your bike shop probably spends ages which is why its so expensive. your lucky i dont have a bmx shop i just got a bike shop that mainly focus' on cars ffs lol

well its like a bike shop that mostly specializes in
mtn bike and a little bit of bmx but they charge $0.70 for
the cheapest spokes ever like the real crappy ones and its
$1.20 for primo spokes!!!

I lace wheels for my friend sfor 5 bucks... Mmm then i go to subway =p if its for a kid i dont know i charge ten and if i do it for the shop i work at i get paid like 4.00 because it takes a half hour and i get paid hourly haha. But my shop charges like 20-30 for a bmx wheel.

And as for dans lacing wheels. I believe you have to actually buy the parts from them then they lace it free. If you ship me your wheel parts and enough to ship it back plus like 5 bucks ill lace it.

But most shops charge somewhere between 20 and 50 bucks a wheel.

If you buy spokes from dans, they MIGHT do it, call em up.

I would say if it will cost more than 20 to ship and get back, just pay the shop, OR with the help of KNOWLEDGEABLE people, try it yourself. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE RIGHT SIZED SPOKE WRENCH. There are some good vids on youtube that teach you how.

at the bike shop i used to go to. they charged a dollar a spoke, to lace it....i was like yea and u guys wouldnt put the 1s in i want...kinda like my brake cable, they put a shimano on and i tweaked cuz i told them like 3x times that i wanted the odyssey linear cable i ordered....otherwise why would i order it. like really, fuckin assholes then they tried to charge me twice, i just left and said fuck em
