if i were to eventually raw my mothership frame (bored of orange) would i need to take my cranks off? i m thinking i could probably just put plastic bags over em . like grocery bags . reason why i ask this is i dont have the tools to remove or re-install my 48spline cranks again! sad and i'd rather not have the bike shop do it cuz theyll charge me and i need 100 bucks for new tires!

You can leave them on, but you could end up making you frame/cranks looking like shit.

how are you going to raw it? sand paper or paint remover? cant you just use a 6mm to take em off? if you have to leave em on tho, use painters tape to section them off.

I see. I'd just use some tape. carefully tape off the crank/bottom bracket area, where all the spacers are, and just be careful

you don't have allen keys and a rubber mallet?

|

trails are not skateparks, they exist solely from the work and dedication of local riders. so next time you start complaining about not having local trails to ride, you only need look at yourself.

borrow a rubber mallet from your friend or someone else, then just take the non drive side bolt off, and bang the arm off, then pull out the spindle and the drive side arm. leave your sprocket and spacers on, it always works for me (profiles)
