Get to the point, can I lace a shadow raptor front to an alienation deviant 5x?

Of course you can, but it would be impractical. A lot of spokes would probably overlap each others heads & you would need spokes long enough. 199mm according to spoke calculator

On spoke calculator it said I needed 199 mm spokes. Dans carries spokes that could be cut down to length. And to isnowyaznv2, the tree straight pull hubs actually require this type of lacing from what I know!

I thought the more times crossed laced, the stronger?
The tree only needs lacing like that due to it being straight pull.
3x is more than enough for a 36 spoke wheel.
4x is used for hubs like the simple eject due to not having traditional glanges
I'm a punk bmxer, I can't do it well so I do it loud.
Im going to do 4x probably next year when I relace my wheels. 5x on a flanged hub is obsurd, and as said above would probably have spokes overlapping spoke heads which would make it impossible to lace. The only reason the Trees are "5x" is because theyre technically flangeless so the spokes cross an extra time where the flange would normally be. So its technically 4x. Same goes for flangeless hubs such as the Primo N4FL, Èclat Teck, and Simple Eject. They are "4x" but they actually use a 3x pattern and just have an extra cross because theres no flange which would normally hide that extra cross.
Hope that makes sense. If you are that worried about it do 4x or get a 48h wheel. The Poverty WT48 off dans is an amazing deal. Alienation Delinquent aftermarket rim ($65) laced to a 4pawl Joytech (basically an Odyssey Hazard hub with better engagement) all for around $110. AMAZING deal. The rim alone retails at $70.

Let me guess, one of your friends bragged about having 4x now you have to one up them.

Paragon Custom 22" Pedal Driven Cycles
3X for 36
4X for 48 (and simple ejects)
5X for tree hubs (no choice)
Usually lacing 36 holes 4x feels pretty spongy same with 48 hole being 3x.
that^
5x is not really usefull in a normal hub.
