is lacin a fly rim the same as a normal wheel but cross laced and do u use the same size spokes

Cross lacing them will affect the length about 1mm. (no big deal) I usually get spokes a couple mm short of the calculations anyway.

I think it makes a stronger rim though, and is one of the best things about fly rims.

If you aren't able to take accurate measurements, it might be easier to call up danscomp or have someone at your local shop figure it out for you.
