lets talk for a second about shoes.

I run Nike SB Janoskis. Perfect shoe imo. Great durability My first pair I got over two years ago is still in riding condition. Im now onto my second pair and they're running smooth. I've had those for about 3 months now. I'm hoping to get another good 2 years from the shoe. The last thing I like about them is that once broken in the shoes are like slippers on your feet

I just wear vans mostly I did have a pair of nike sb's that held up great.

I wearing Etnies Number Mid Shoes Aaron Ross signature shoes had them is last summer still in good condition they are really good for bmx. I just pick up some op skate shoes from walmart just because i had a gift card to walmart just wanted to try something new I kinda don't want to spend to much on shoes. The etines was 29.99 and op are 16 so I think my limit is 30.00 on shoes.

The only bad thing i'd say about them are that they are expensive though. I do think theyre worth the price.

i ride old skools and janoskis but imo janoskis last a lotttttt longer than my vans ive had a pair for about 2 years now with only a lot of sun bleaching lol. but anyone ride the emerics romeros? thinking of getting a pair

I'm a huge shoe guy and have probably tried close to all skateboarding / BMX brands but lately I've been feeling Vans and Addidas . Vans has the OG status and most of their shoes are reliable and last the longest , and can choose from lows to highs ( lows for me ! ) but any "pro" model shoe rips faster due to the tab on the outsole so I advise NOT getting pro shoes ie Half Cab Pro's. Vans in general grip amazing.

Addidas has been great in feel and looks . All black Seeley Lows are amazing and the slim design is comfy as fuck compared to bulky Etnies/ DC designs . They gripped decently and had the best feel and look to me and lasted an ok amount of time . Not the most durable but easily one of my favourite shoes out.

hmm maybe the solution is to have 3 pairs, 2 or work and alternate them, and one pair just for riding in. that and a pair of boots for digging trails...but boots i have.

ive been looking at reebok soyay since im pleased with them, but ive also liked the cons ka3 and i was looking at some vans too. i used to love vans back in the 90s before they got thin

I buy the Vans knock offs at Walmart now Ever since i broke my real expensive shoes fast 7$ a pair of shoes that feel great with my insoles in there.

i used to have some chuck taylor knock off walmart shoes that lasted forever, from kingsize i think they where... they where low tops tho...

hows the grip on them max can you compare the feel to anything?

Ive got two Vans. Vans are the only thing you find over here, and you risk buying fake ones. I had to wait for a trip to Bangkok to buy em', and no models or name there XD

I've got a low skate one, the Era. It's okay but it's getting old and starting to tear up. S'ok tho, a vans looks great when it is not in tip top shape. I use it when I'm out shaping jumps.

The other one I use for school and anytime I'm out there. Vans Chukka Low. Been using it as a riding shoe more tho, it's rises taller and supports the heel pretty well, feel more protected with it.

I usually get one new pair per year. Maybe I'll skimp this time and wait for both of them to get teared up well before cashing out on new rides...

5.10. Leather, nice sole, cheaper and lasts longer than most vans, nikes, adidas, loteks, you name it. They are my daily shoes, my bmx shoes, and mt mtb shoes. My last pair of shoes (janoskis or however you spell them) were horrible compared to these. These grip better, feel more comfortable, are more durable, snd are half the price. But fiveten just got bought by adidas so I'm stockpiling in growing sizes bcuz I bet adidas will ruin the brand and sell it out AND ruin the quality.

My adidas weren't half as nice as these.

Vans bruno signiture mids. Goddamn I love these shoes. I used to be a big etnies guy and I had the etnies dugans before these but these things have taken a beating (i wear them everyday and work 50 hours a week + riding) and the only thing wrong with them is discoloration mostly due to grease and oil haha.

I can't ride in chucks, or wear them ever since my foot was fucked. But I can say some of the shoes i have gotten at walmart feel so much like vans and look like them, that nobody even notices at this point that I paid 7$ for them.. lol

I just buy old skate shoes from the early 2000s and nike 6.0s off ebay. The new thin vulc shoes hurt my feet. But after destroying a few pairs of classic shoes from like 2003 I started buying 6.0s, still have padding and since they're just nikes I don't care to wear them out.

Used vans for about ten years straight just got some etnies and dc shoes looking for something with more heel support then vans , sucks airing out landing flat and
Blowing a foot off the pedal with thin vans soles on the heel

I'm so jealous of you all, my feet are messed up (as in deformed). I have to wear prescription orthodics and have wide feet to top it off. Presently I'm wearing new balance 574's in a 2E witdh. At $70 a pair, I wear them out in about 6 months. I haven't found a skate/bike shoe that I can wear without excruciating pain in years YEARS. Fuck all.

alright guys thanks for all the commentary i've listed them all and now that i've got the general bmx reply- im gonna look on amazon and see what the daily day to day person says about how well they hold up in normal conditions. obviously bmx puts a bit more stress on our shoes then normal use does. so we'll find out.

welp, Osiris has taken the raiders off the website, and im never buying nyc83's again. I'm going to stick with soyay's for at work but im going back to vans I think for my main riding shoes, I'll keep my osiris Raiders till they ware out though. just put some new inserts in.
