hopefully something i can get on sale
something with sidewalls for brake pads

I had a 16oz sun rhino-lite that lasted a long time on the front, until i exploded my front wheel on a big 360. i blew out 1/3 my spokes, replaced the spokes that day and rode the wheel another 3months with a ~not-huge~ big wop in the wheel
-i know people run rhyno-lites as a rear wheel so i figured i could get something lighter and be alright as long as my spoke-tension/wheel-building-skills are okay

I then got a sun envy-lite an laced it up myself ~got the spokes nice and tight over a few sessions~ and within like 3 months i got a fat wop on the front wheel from a not-huge 360
-i still question whether this was due to rim strength or spoke strength-

so im looking for a front rim thats kinda a middle ground between those two rims
...hopefully something on sale

i hear the alienations are pretty lite-wate and low price as well. do they have a good reputation?
i really miss those 75% off danscomp sales. i used to just wait till parts i want would show up on there eventually and buy them.

im getting older and older so i figure im getting lighter and lighter on my bikeparts

another question: how much does mission invade front hub weight? is it lighter than a gsport marmoset at 9oz? its on sale for $25

Alienation Deivant is a good lightweight rim for front.

I second the Deviant. Maybe an Odyssey 7KA rim?

I’m on an Alienation Skylark right now and it holds up good. I’m not hard on my bike, but it’s been solid for a year or so now.

I’ve got an Odyssey Litehouse for the low, sounds perfect for what you’re looking for
