Well after a long summer this is what my friend came up with . It started about early June and when on till late September . He just turned 16 and has been riding for about 2 years . This is our first big edit we made so any tips would be appreciated ">REESE MISTRETTA- 2014 SUMMER BMX:

Good, but i would've liked it more if it were shorter with some of the repetitive clips taken out.

Your friend is a really good rider, but a lot of those clips are landed sloppily. If you cut out some of those and re-did others, you'd have some sick raw footage. Now, that editing is bad, a lot of those clips are cut too late, looks like he's gonna do more, then it cuts. Filming isn't terrible, could invest in a new camera and a fisheye. Too many bars down 4-5 sets, there's like 10. Summer Breeze is sort of cliche but it doesn't really matter. You can have a very good edit on your hands, wouldn't be hard to get flowed with how young/good he is.

no on the fisheye
too many people slap on a fisheye and it makes their footy look horrible
you have to learn how to get angles with the fish that makes stuff look big otherwise its crappy
get more practice with a normal zoom lens before you drop money

I didn't mean to use one for every clip, but generally for inexperienced filmers it can make stuff look a lot better. Maybe a wide angle if you don't like the true fisheye look

Also we shoot with a dslr for filming should we try more angles ?

it's a fine video, wouldn't do anything different myself. He is much better than me, and at that age, he might be pro material in the future if he keeps it up! Just need to be more smooth and flowey.
