do i have to sand it down? its like plated chrome and i need to know if you have to samd it

yeah if you dont the paint will run and it'll look like shit... just lightly sand it needs something to catch on.

You can paint it without runs, but without sanding it your paint wont stick and will scrape and chip off extremely easy.

use a very fine sand paper...make the chrome dull, once its dull and scratched up a bit it should be enough to get the paint to stick.

sand paper is easier... just use a fine sand paper like the 260 grit

u need to use a real rough grit sand paper and slowly work ur way dow to a fine grit for best results
