hey i just bought a kink off of a friend it was barely used for $200. while he was looking for the pegs he came across a bunch of new parts he had and gave them to me. among those parts was a pair of sinz racing bars. my brother in law wants them, my question is would it be a good idea for him to use them? he is a beginner about 5' 11 and about 220 if that helps with anything... thanks

i'm 200 lbs and i can ride with racing bars on my race bikes with zero problems....although Sinz bars are quite cheap and i wouldn't trust them too much. Note to all new racers, race bars are NOT good for street use since they're full aluminum and can bend quite easily.

Figured that much but he made a point that made me think. Cuz we know a guy that's like 230 and goes race bike as a hobby. So if he could why wouldn't he be able to just bunny hop here and there with it. Like I said he's a beginner and doesn't do much. As for aluminum I tried reading up on them and it said they was chromoly so I figured should be good for now

Cromo should be fine as long as he isnt doing anything crazy.

He should be fine for now, but once he gets a little better and starts jumping small jumps and stairs, he'd better upgrade to some bars that are meant for that shit. 220 is a pretty decent sized dude and riding race bars for park and street isn't a very good idea. Plus they're cheap race bars. If they were standards, s&ms or fly racings I'd say he's fine for a while.

Keep in mind SBC these aren't just any race bars. Sinz race bars. Sinz parts completely blow. They're cheaply made and the price reflects that. You can ride street with race bars, just get race bars made by companies who also make street components. (DK, S&M, Supercross)

yeah Sinz is like the Amber of the race world, they're cheap garbage that may look good but they perform like shit. I use S&M mediums for race bars and they're awesome.
