7ka is one of the best rims available, so its a great choice

If you have the right sized spokes, which you probably do because I BELIEVE most rims share the same ERD, you can just put pieces of tape on the crosses of the spokes of your current wheel, then unlace it and put your new rim on and already have the spokes where they need to be and with the correct pattern. OR cross the hub over. This requires lining up the rims and removing 1 spoke at a time and moving it to the same spot on the other rim until the old rim is no longer connected to the hub

You might need new spokes, the rim you listed you have doesn't give me an ERD to work with, but if that "etrto" means the ERD, then I would assume it's the 406, but if that's so, you'll need new spokes cause the 7KA's ERD is 395.

wouldn't surprise me. its a real crappy rim, you saw it ;o

anybody know what rim it is that has the big hole cutouts in it? I was thinking of that for the front to help cut weight.

Fly bikes rim. And I dont believe theyre any lighter than
most. I think they use the holes to actually add more material to other places where its needed, thus making a stronger but not heavier rim. Very good rims though.
