i have a primo mix lace to a stolen revolver rim

i also have a odyssey vandero laced to a 7ka rim

would i be able to switch rims without getting new spokes?

I know how to cross a new rim onto a wheel without unlacing the wheel.

And you shouldn't need new spokes aslong as youre using the same hub.

Unfortunately it sorta does. If this spoke is shorter it might work if it was just a couple spokes but a whole wheel won't work and if its longer you need a spoke cutter and spoke threader to get the right length of threads

it COULD, but chances are it won't.


unlace just one of the wheels, tape the rim to the wheel that's still laced, tape it around at at least 4 areas, then start at the valve and work your way around (best to go backwards so the spokes don't cross over each other and make things harder). loosen all of the spokes first, then just loosen the one behind the valve, switch it over to the other rim, tighten the nipple down just a few turns, then repeat all the way around the wheel until it's switched over. it'll make things a tad easier for one of the wheels but the other one you'll have to relace


OR, just tape the crosses of each spoke so they can't move around, remove all the nipples, and switch each hub over to the other rim. never done it this way but it sounds harder, don't know if it actually is.
