Does anyone ride a super short stem NOT for flatland?

A couple of the guys I used to ride with had the Season Troy Merkle signature stem and they loved it (i think it had a 35mm reach).

Anyways, if you ride a really short stem, let me know how you like or (or if you don't).

Yeah, kinda figured that, but I had just remembered seeing it a few weeks ago on the S&M site.

they make your bike feel shorter, more responsive (may be a little twitchy though), easier to get into front end tricks, i'm pretty sure they make barspins easier

i just want to try something new...

my friend rides the season stem and loves it, i think a longer stem is better for barspins because you do not have to lean back as far

im not trying to argue but that makes no sense if you have a longer stem it pushes the bars farther back towards you when there at 180 degrees where as if you had a shorter stem it would push your bars out as far i could be wrong never used one or even knew they made them shorter

leaning back a cm or so wouldn't effect anything. also, and longer stem makes the bars closer to you when they spin.

a shorter stem brings the bars closer to the axis of rotation, which in turn makes the center of mass closer to the axis of rotation, this makes the bars spin faster with the same torque.

just weld your bars to your steerer tube! eliminate the stem completely.
