stem bolt need advice!!!!!

So I'm tightening my stem bolt and out of no where I hear a pop sound. The stem bolt will no longer tighten it just spins instead. Has this happened to anyone? I can still ride, everything seems to be working properly except the stem bolt is at like a level where it is at its tightest yet still spinning. I'm worried the bolt snapped inside but I haven't had time to pull it all apart and check it. If this is the case, I know I could try to use a tap and die set to get the broken bolt out, but lets say its stuck in the fork, and I fuck up the threading on the fork does this mean I may have to buy a new fork or stem? Any help is apprieciatted u guys

is this a stem bolt or the fork bolt?

broke the bolt probably.

Removing the broken piece is going to probably suck.

If this is the stem bolt, I would remedy this IMMEDIATELY.

Your stem may seem tight but when it fails it's not going to be fun.

I am sorry you guys, I am obviously a super noob. It is the fork bolt, not the stem bolt. I was tightening my fork bolt because i loosened it for some dumb ass reason to see what it does and then as I was retightening it it just popped and now it tightens to a certain point then will endlessly just spin and doa mini pop as it makes a full rotation. I'm pretty sure i fucked up the fork bolt in one way or another whether its stripped or snapped, but the bike is riding fine.... lol do you guys only think this will be an issue if i go to change the fork out? because i just plan on keeping the same fork on it forever pretty much lol
