hi guys, I am currently using demolition keystone tl stem. 53mm reach. today I switched it temporarily with my friend's fl primo cause he wanted to try mine and he liked it.

seems that with the tl, I can lift easier, but less stable when trying to do turns. with the fl, harder to lift but more stable turns.

so I thought I'd sell mine and get another tl stem, maybe with a shorter reach, (example animal tl 48mm). what do ya guys think?

I dont think front or topload effects anything really. For example..

If you run an 8mm rise, 48mm reach frontload with a 15mm spacer and replace it with a 23mm rise, 48mm reach topload but remove the spacer, it will feel exactly the same.

Sounds like the difference youre noticing is in bar height. You can play around with spacers until you find a happy medium that you like best. Goodluck!

thanks tim

the primo has 51mm reach, and the demolition 53mm. tested both with the same bar, on my bike

so i guess it's safer to stick to 53mm eh ? since the primo feels ass when trying to hop
