Take off your grips, clean bars, spray inside your grips with spray paint. Put grips back on.
It’s all bmx
What did you use to install them? I guessing you used some hairspray or something to install them. I've found the only way not to get throttle grip is to use compressed air to install them
I'm a punk bmxer, I can't do it well so I do it loud.
Hairspray and an air compressor has always solved my thottle grip.
Spray just a very very small amount of hairspray then use the air compressor to slide them on and let them sit for like 30 minutes.

Take off your grips and dry off the inside and the bar each side, then just get the tiniest spray of hairspray on the inside of the grip, slide them off then let them dry for like 10 - 30 minutes.
Edited Date/Time:
next time you buy grips use an air compresser

I now have a more or less stock sunday scout with a complete Demo rear wheel. Sue me
I just use water to put them on, it only takes a couple of hours to dry and once it's dry it doesn't affect your Grips in any way.
Take grips off.
Clean inside of grips with hot water/soap.
Rinse them well.
Dry them completely.
If you use any spray (paint, hair, etc) to install. LET IT DRY FOR A DAY. I used to install them with spray paint at night and let it dry while I slept.
Your grips may now be too worn out to use the 'zip tie' trick but try this when you get new grips.
take 4 long/heavy zip ties.
put them into the ends of a grip so they poke out both sides.
slide onto bars.
pull zip ties out w/ plyers.
don't ride in the rain.
don't see the big deal, its still a grip if it twists a little
