does anybody know which way you need to turn the spanner to get the pedals off.

Also i snapped a spanner doing it and it had barely budged is it rusted on or is it just super tight

Anti-clockwise for the Right side pedal, Clockwise for the Left. They may well be stuck on, if so you just have to keep trying. I ended up having to use a 4ft tube as an extension to the spanner once, I broke 3 spanners but it worked. Next time you put pedals on make sure you grease the threads, and do the same every time you put pedals on.

WD40 the pedals it and then hold the crank with 1 hand while tightening/loosening the pedal with a wrench. If it gets loose then your good if it tightens go the opposite way lol.
