If you can't tell the difference then don't waste your money on a bike and go buy a scooter.

A guarded sprocket has a guard around the teeth to protect your chain and the teeth of the sprocket as much as possible.

A nomguarded sprocket doesn't have that.

Usually, someone who grinds a lot would have a guarded sprocket. I run 4 pegs sometimes and 2 pegs always so I have a guarded sprocket. If you have never ran pegs, you have never done a crank arm grind or a bottom bracket grind or a dropout grind, you probably don't need a guarded sprocket unless you plan on getting a few pegs and becoming a wild grinder.

Tree makes great sprockets. You can buy guards for them separately but it will not cover the entire sprocket like the one above.

I have the Sunday Knox guarded sprocket and it is nice. I have also heard great things about the Subrosa Magnum, the Odyssey guarded sprocket (I forget the name of it), and the Daily Grind one.

I am guessing that you have a 9 tooth driver so I would recommend you get either a 25 tooth sprocket or a 28 tooth sprocket. You probably know that much but I figured it wouldn't hurt to share that in case you didn't know.

Or he's new to riding. You can't tell me you knew every single term about BMX when you started.

The Tree Lite is the best sprocket you can get. Super strong yet light, and a great warranty. Wouldn't ride any other sprocket.

That's right I really didn't know the proper terms for everything but I mean c'mon who doesn't know the difference between a non guarded and a guarded sprocket? I mean it's right in the name.

Coming from a guy who cant install a headset.
Nobody has it yet so how can you call the design shitty? You need to open your fucking mind a bit, theyre trying to better bmx, and its people like you rhat stop companies from trying coz you try rip on them with no experience or proper knowlege of that product.
We need less of people like you in bmx.

Rekt. Plus, I don't think I have to repeat that it was caused by a shitty manufacturer, not me.

Also, it's called common fucking sense. If you look at a design, you can usually tell if it's going to be shitty or not, unless you are the product of a mentally challenged man fucking his cousin.
