im new to BMX tricks and stuff but im kinda good at it and i want to upgrade my bike. i want a BMX bike like aharow or GT but i cant afford it so i was thinking of getting a regular bike and putting a new crank and sprocket on it instead of spending 300-500 dollors for a pro bike. would this be a good idea or not?

well haro and gt are, frankly, sub standard. save some money and buy a decent bike, or you will find yourself breaking things all the time and will end up spending more.

It wouldn't work. A lot of the walmart bike can't be substituted with good parts. Just buy a 200$ complete.

Just for the record, when I got my BTM... It wasn't "Trendy"

would that be a good idea?

then you have a shitty bike with good cranks. good cranks are gonna cost you somewhere from 120-170$. so i'd just get a cheap complete off dans. even a wethepeople arcade for 330 is fine.
