anyone know where i can get one? a normal half link wont fit, and i cant seem to find a wippermann one anywhere. tried emailing connex about it but have yet to hear back. anyone have any ideas?

No, that won't fit a Wippermann. I've never seen one, but heard a few people talking about it. Idk if they ever actually made one or not, to be honest.

according to their website, they made one, but idk anywhere that has one.
that superstar half link says its made by wippermann, you sure that wouldnt fit?

I have the same issue. I also destroyed my shadow chain breaker on this thing trying to dial it in. My dropouts are short, so if I remove a link, it's too short, and right now, it's at the end of my dropouts. It has stretched a little though, but it took a bit of riding to see it. Let me know what you find out though, for sure. I love this chain, just want to be more dialed.

Gusset is a UK company and their Chains are very common here. There Half-Link Chains look and perform like any other Half-Link Chain, so I don't think it would work.

empire said theyve never installed that half link on that chain, but it looks like it should work. ordered one this morning, should have it in 2-3 days so when it gets in ill report back here and let you know if it works. fingers crossed!

A 3/32 chain is really narrow. It won't even fit over the teeth of the thicker aluminum sprockets. I believe it's for racing.

the superstar half link is wide enough to fit over the links, but the holes for the pins are too small =/

That sucks dude, I thought it would work. No word from connex? Try superstar maybe? There has to be a solution.

i had a good feeling about it, kinda blows. havent heard back from connex, dont think i will. i would call, but its a german company so i dont think it would be worth it to even try

Which Wippermann chain? There's a lot of half links that will fit their more normal sized chains, but I don't know of any to fit the 1G8 (the super beefy chain they make)
