thought it would be funny to hear what bad advice you guys have been given about anything bmx

For me it would probably be when the guy at my LBS told me i needed half link chain to ride freestyle because a full link chain wouldn't allow me to accelerate fast enough and would be too heavy.

I took a rim to shop to get trued and they told me "this rim will never be strait again. That's what you get for buying double wall rims, they suck. You need to get some alex triple walls. They are the new standard. " this was only last year, the shop ruined my rim too.

One time I saw a photo of this kid I didn't like feeble stalling a ledge that doesn't slide at all & I told him it's really fun to haul ass at it and smith grind. Haha idk if he ever tried it though.
