Okay, I had a wtp arcade 2010 with all stock parts and that was really light
I've recently bought a wtp tryst 2011 pre owned and it feels heavy and I've read it's meant to be light, anyway, the parts what's on it
Stock wheels (eclat rims, salt plus hubs)
Salt front loader stem
Salt plus groove cranks
(unsure of the bars and forks but the person I bought from said the forks were theory)
Mutiny pivotal seat
Primo pedals
The bike feels roughly the same weight all over, like when I lift it from the bars it feels the same weight as it does from lifting it from the seat..
Anyone have any idea where the weight is coming from?
My arcade was noticeably lighter, I'm confused, thankssmile

Are the pedals plastic? Just go over the bike and see what you got. probably weigh it too. Do some research on your parts to see if their heavy or not.

It's really not a huge problem. I remember an interview where someone said Shawn Macintosh did a hop 3 on a bike from like the 90s (I think). If he could do that on that bike you can ride this, just do push-ups and basic workout stuff and ride. You'll get used to it

Honestly? Who gives a shit. Its the fucking internet. I hate all of you equally.

Cut bars, seatpost & axles to shave a bit of weight off

Then look at getting lighter tires, stock tires are always heavy as fuck.

You'll get used to it tho, so just get new lighter parts as and when needed.

I rode when 35+ was normal be grateful for the advancements in bmx.

I don't think they're stock tyres cos they're not matching but it could be the tyres as they hold 110 PSI, also my back wheel spindle/axle is hollow, for weight reduction also I could imagine, but the trust is meant to be 3.x lighter then the average bmx, I could lift my arcade above my head with one hand, I can get this one half way lmao, but my arcade was stolen from me so there was a few month I wasn't riding, could be why it feels heavy

2010 arcade
Toptube: 20.25"
Chainstays: 13.25"
Weight: 26 lbs

2011 trust
Toptube: 21"
Chainstays: 13.66"
Weight: 24 lbs

Even though heavier, the Arcade may feel lighter when riding because of the shorter chainstay and toptube lengths, making it easier to lift up the front end, especially if you aren't tall.

Dennis Enarson did a 3 on a bike from the 70s lol you know the ones that look just like motorcycles but without an engine(old motorcycles) it was in the demolition video where they go to mat hoffmans house.

If you have a complete built after the year 06 and you think it feels heavy you need to seriously hit the weights.....until you ride a 40 pound bike I don't think you have an educated idea of what heavy is

Drill holes in it till it feels light enough and then drill a few dozen more just to be safe.
