Hey guys! I bought a new bike the other week, 2016 kink solace. I've lived on downhill setups the last 5 years and never really ridden bmx. But due to moving into the city for work and a lack of trails/space I sold my downhill rig and decided I'd try and learn to ride street. I've been trying to get barspins happening but everytime I go for the throw it hits my right leg (I ride right foot forward). The solace had a slightly shorter frame than some of the other bikes available, and i didn't think anything of it at the time, Bars are 28 but when they spin they overhang the seat by about an inch. tutorials have said to pinch the seat when you hop but if I do this then it hits my leg. I've been in the forums and read that a lot of people can spin 30s with no issue, but i was wondering if that's due to a slightly longer frame. I was wondering if any of you guys have bars that overhang your seat and have still managed to get them dialled, or if im fighting a losing battle and need shorter bars. big thanks to anyone that takes the time out to read this and can give some feedback!
