Ive recently, just recently, got this problem that I have zero clues on what to do. Here's a pic on what's up... 
The grey piece popping out seems a bit scary, and I was wondering if anyone could help out. Could it just take a simple cleaning? New bearings/washers? And the entire bottom bracket is brand new.

That's the bearing coming out of its cup. The only way that can happen is if there aren't enough spacers keeping it in place. Take the crank arm off, gently tap the bearing back into the cup, and add enough spacers to fill the gap between the cone spacer and crank arm. Could you get a pic of the other side too?
