Hi all

I'm pretty much a beginner. Lately I've really been concentrating on trying to get my bunny hops decent.

I was making good progress, I got up to hopping planks of wood to 25 cm (about 10 inches).

But for the last couple of weeks I've been totally stuck at that same spot and I even feel like I'm getting worse again....

My question is, is it normal to stall like this for a while? Has this happened to others?

I've watched all the youtube how-to's... I feel like when I concentrate on doing what the videos say I f**k up the worst... bizarre...but when I do it without thinking I can do it ok...

I'm really getting frustrated....

Thanks all

Seems like your thinking about doing it to much, just relax pull up front wheel tuck legs up and keep practicing mate

Thanks mate, you're probably right. I'll get back out there and keep going...

Chels's correct.

Don't think about it. WHen you think, you force yourself into thinking about each individual move. Naw, it aint individual moves, it;s one smooth and fluid motion.

Go out there and make a repetitive obstacle course, with things increasing in height.

Pedal, hop, coast, hop, coast, hop, etc.

Thats how I got em.

It doesn't matter where a train goes. It's decidin' to get on that does.

Yeah dude there's so many new riders that would be ecstatic if they could hop 10 inches! You're over the hard part, just keep practicing. You get stronger every time you ride, so practice alone will get you those extra inches if you stick with it.
