this^^^^ It does pedal hard,but it seem you pedal less then 25/9

You do, one rotation of the cranks on 28/9 will go further than a 25/9.

Think of 10 speed bike. 25/9 could be like 5 gear, 28/9 could be like 7th gear. Harder to pedal, go faster, but acceleration would be slower.

divide the front tooth count by the rear tooth count and you will get your
turn(s) per wheel/1 full rotation of the crank,
findout the calculation of what your running now and base your new ratio on what you think youll like best

30/10 = 3/1
27/9 = 3/1
39/13 = 3/1

36/13 = 2.76/1
25/9 = 2.77/1
44/16 = 2.75/1
