Baby steps. Try new tricks by all means, but dial tricks in and develop your style as you go. Try simple tricks over/on/off different things. If you rush learning tricks, you'll have a bag of tricks but no style. And you'll limit yourself to what you can do those tricks on. Learn tables, not many youngsters can do a nice table
