Hey guys,

I currently am running 20" wheels and are in need for some new tyres. Now I have been running a standard complete bike and am not too sure of the technical details of bikes D: So I was looking at some tyres and I am unsure about the dimensions. 20 x 2.30. I am assuming 20 is the diameter and 2.30 is the width. Are wider wheels needed for wider tyres (for example 20" wheels going from 20 x 2.10 tyres to 20 x 2.40 tyres) and are bigger/wider tubes needed for these bigger tyres? Do wider tyres give any advantages over skinnier tyres?

And one more question, for bar dimensions, is rise and width just the measurements from bottom to top and from left to right? And half link chains generally work with cogs/chainwheels that run regular chains right?

Thanks for reading all my questions...hahaha

As long as you have standard size rims, any tire should fit. Correct on the bar sizes. A half link chain will work on regular sprockets/drivers, you can also just add a single half link to a regular chain to adjust the length instead of using a complete half link chain.

only thing you really gotta worry about with tires is if they'll fit in your frame. all 20 tubes are basically the same. and tires just come down to like grip and rolling resistance
