alternative to chain breaker?

Is there any way to install a new chain without using a chain breaker?

I've done it once with a punch, a hammer, and a channel lock but would strongly recommend that u not be a cheap ass and just invest in a chainbreaker. U dont wanna mess up a brand new chain

A chain breakers definatly the best way to go but I've use some pliers to cut the link and yank it

Just buy a cheap breaker though there like 5 bucks
