when doing a fastplant 180 do you first take off your foot from the pedal and place it on the ground or do you first lift the bike and as you lift it and spin you step on the ground?

I just did some, but I do them by first placing my foot on the ground. Is that wrong? (I do them on flat, not on a halfpipe or smth)

You are supposed to hop then plant your foot. Could be wrong but that's how we do em

This is correct pick up your front end before you put your foot down

like ty morrow does here on 10:16

alright so yesterday I started practicing them the correct way (pull up the front and then plant my foot) and I cant get the full rotation....I spin like 130-140 degrees and I cant even get to the fakie (I have my fakies down, dont worry)
sometimes I even fall because Iose balance or smth
Do you know if the reason for that is because I dont get the back tire (or the whole bike) high enough? I think that might be the reason.
Any tips would be helpful
thanks
