It's so fucking sick.
Its a lot less intense than Breaking Bad, which i think is good. Breaking Bad is a constant stress pretty much, but Better Call Saul has a much lighter feel.
As always, Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould made a masterpiece, again. Their writing is so good. I like the format and the shots are good too. I honestly wonder how long it's gonna go.
I actually remember Saul saying he was gonna hope to be managing a cinnabon in Omaha, Nebraska when he was switching his identity with Walt in Breaking Bad towards the end. And it started with a flash forward of him with a mustache doing that, so that tells me we are gonna get to see more of what he was doing during the Walt and Jesse thing and possibly may see some appearances of both

I think the first scene in the cinnabon is foreshadowing something that happens at the end of the season. Something that must happen that makes Jimmy go into disguise and turn into Saul. The guy walking twards him was probaby one of tuco's guys or something to come.(similar to the pink bear that lands in walts pool with the burnt face, and gus getting blown up) Vince Gillagan is the master of foreshadowing!

True. But look at the scene with walt and saul in the basement of the vacuum place when they're leaving. Saul is going to Omaha, Nebraska, and says he hopes to run a cinnabon. I think it goes PAST Breaking Bad and Beyond. It shows a lot of options obviously and that first scene raised a lot of questions and knowing Vinces and Peter's style, it probably isn't what you expect but what SHOULD happen. So thats why i really liked Breaking Bad and i think i'm gonna really like Better Call Saul.
Everyone that should have died, DID in Breaking Bad. The overall theme of that show is how the police and meth empires aren't even that different. It's the on-going battle of good and bad and what is actually the line between it. And by the end, it shows that even though Walt did some terrible shit, justice was served. Hank, which was the most necessary death was more evil, if you ask me. They both have persona's of "good people" but really, they both are bad on different spectrums. Therefore, Breaking Bad. It is honestly one of the best stories i could have ever hoped to know and love.
Better Call Saul has some big shoes to fill. It's a really interesting thing. I like how it is gonna be lighter than Breaking Bad (seemingly) and should answer a lot of backstory questions. It has already showed some things of early Tuco. No doubt that it is gonna have some spine tingling shit in it. I highly doubt that Vince Gilligan wouldn't want to add some surprises for the fans. Something that really pushes the limit. I mean there was that case for McGill that had kids having sex with a severed head.
Nevertheless i'm looking forward to the theme of Better Call Saul. People say that they feel like they know it is gonna end at Breaking Bad and it takes the fun of it away. For me, that isn't the case. That first scene OBVIOUSLY went past it. This makes me excited for more Aaron Paul, Bryan Cranston, etc. appearances later on. It's exciting.
The only thing i don't like is i wish it weren't a spin off of Breaking Bad honestly. I wish it were an all new thing, but it doesn't matter too much actually.

And Gale should have died just because he was in the Meth Business for stupid reasons. He just was for the money and didn't care. Walt did it because he was going to die and wanted to cash out. But most of all he wanted THE EXCITEMENT in his life. Like Hank said in episode one.
But that's just how it is. It's why i loved Breaking Bad so much. Better Call Saul will definitely have that.
My favorite thing about the shows, and mainly Better Call Saul, is the different perspective it shows. I hate Law and Order and the SVU one and all those shows, because it makes the police out to be good people, the lawyers, all that. They never show the crooked lawyer that gets screwed up people off. Which i love a lot. It happens all the time and they just make it out to be that Justice is always served in the judicial system. Justice happens even in the most screwed up terrible things. But i digress.
I like how REAL the shows are. I hate how in all the other shows they all drive mercedes and cadillacs, but in Breaking Bad EVERY car is just right. Everything was the way it should be and would be in life. The attention to detail overall is incredible. Nothing is over or underdone.
