I know this isn't a medical site lol but I just iced a hand rail and went toe first into the ground and the toenail broke in half And is purple and swollen, but I can move it. But It hurts badly. Does anyone know if it's broken or not? I just don't wanna go to a doctor yet

First off, did you read the first sentence? Fucking retard. Second off, it only happened about an hour ago and all that's happened it the toe nail is broken, purple, and swollen. I don't even want comments from people who don't even try to answer the question

No I'm not mad. it's retarted to get mad about people over the internet. I'm not seeking medical help. I'm wondering whether these are symptoms of it being broken or not before going to the doctor and spend 150 bucks for an extra and find out it bruised. Idk i don't think they really do anything for toes and fingers though. I may have broken my big toe before, i got mad, kicked a ramp as hard as i could, and my toe turned black and purple and i couldn't walk on it for a week. Never went to a doctor though.

Why even post on a forum about something like this, unless afterwards once everything was checked out to tell people your story, anyone with a brain would think, shit my toe feels a little fucked up after that, I'm going to the doctor's to get it checked out to make sure, not make a thread when it's just happened and ask people who aren't doctors if it's broken.

I thought the same thing with mine, luckily I got it checked out before it was too late otherwise how the break was, I would've never been able to curl my finger again without having it re-broke to fix it

I broke my toe in the summer and used this method to be able to ride while with a broke toe:
First off, you're going to need medical tape and a Popsicle.
Step 1: Enjoy a popsicle while icing your toe.
Step 2: Finish the popsicle and break the popsicle stick in half with your brute strength.
Step 3: Put the two piece of the popsicle stick on each side of your broken toe.
Step 4: Wrap the medical tape around your toe and the popsicle sticks TIGHTLY. Make sure it's tighter than a nun.
Step 5: Get money.
