Knee Pain

Lately, I have been getting this awful pain in my right knee and I am starting to get concerned. I don't want to do anything serious and tear my ACl or MCL or something bad like that. One of my biggest fears now that I FINALLY got clean 3s is that I will hurt myself and put myself out for a bit and then lose the ability to bust out 3s the way I can today.

The pain is on the right side of my right knee. My whole knee hurts but it hurts worse on the right side of my right knee. It feels like a muscle is being over extended or strained or something when I bend my knee certain ways. Quite frankly, I have never felt pain like this before. It's not super excruciating or anything, but it there and it's worrying me.

I am not sure what I should do about this. I really dislike going to hospitals and doctor's offices because I believe that all doctors are money hungry and I bet if I go, the doctor will say, "Well we really aren't sure what's going on so what we will do is send you to a specialist and then you can come back for a post check up next week!" And that's bullshit. So what do you guys think? Part of me thinks I shouldn't go anywhere because doctors are money hungry bitches but the other part says that if there really is something happening with my knee, it would be better to catch it now rather than later when it's actually torn or whatever. I am flat footed and was told that I am very prone to knee injuries and problems because of it and that is what concerns me the most.

And then of course, there's another problem. Ever since my best friend Chaz broke his neck, my dad has been saying that next time I get hurt on my bike, I am done. Listening to him say that and thinking about it just pisses me off. How should I approach this dilemma? I know that if I say "Dad, I think I should see a doctor because my knee has this odd pain in it." He'll start bitching about how stupid BMX is.

What do you guys think? Sorry about this long read.

Stop riding for a few weeks and stretch it n stuff. If it doesn't get any better go to a doc. Or may try a brace? Oh and i remember when my brother was 14 he got this thing with a weird name (osgood shlaughter?) which is basicaly your bones growing faster than your muscles and tendions and it hurts real bad. It's pretty much untreatable but goes away after you stop growing.

Stretch it out and wear a knee brace/sleeve, let it rest for a few days the last thing you want to dp is fuck your knee up and haveto deal with it the rest pf your life

Stretch and drink more water.

I highly doubt it's your ACL, that runs diagonally across your knee, not on the outside. And I've experienced what is probably the same thing you are when I try whips off curbs, and I know for sure it's not my ACL because I know what tearing that feels like, and it's not the same pain.

Right. I agree. Are you talking about any knee brace? Even one that I can just find at the drug store or something?

You probaly have Ossgood Schlatters like me. It's when your hip muscle pulls your knee muscle off you knee so your muscle deforms to try and keep it on.

I cant even bike up hills from it , or do leg day at the gym. Ask your doctor because it fucks you up MAJOR.

Youre probably just growing dude. You arent all that old. I remember i was a sophomore i had weird aches and pains and really its just some growing. Stuff happens when youre young. Drink some milk or some water.

Also, just in general, you should have plenty of milk and plenty of water in a day.
