i've had an SDG 125, Pittster Pro and a BBR 150R. I'm too big to ride them now, but i would like to get another CRF 150R to mod, that bike could beat a stock 125 2-stroke when done correctly.

i've had around 100 bikes in the last 20 years...my favorite have been my Boyesen Engineering KTM SX 167, Boyesen Engineering YZ 167 and my KTM SX 520 motard.

it was real fun. I originally started supermoto on a KTM SX 400 but i was just getting blasted on by guys on bikes with a lot of motor work done to them. The local KTM shop that sponsored me at the time had a brand new 520 sitting in the showroom so i traded in my 400 for it. That bike was too fun, i'd love to get another one to ride around town.

i'd hope so, a Banshee is only a 350 and weighs over 150 lbs more than your CR500...which has the power to weight ratio of a top fuel dragster.

Quadzilla was a 500, the Banshee is a 350 and is only attractive because of the sound the twin exhaust puts out...if any quad deserves any respect it's the 250R, that quad was the cornerstone for all the technology in racing ATV's you see today.

i agree, the 250R was a great quad when it came out. i know a guy named Flo who works in a motorcycle/atv shop and he has a 250R. Its a close family friend and he has a son so i ride with them a lot

they're taking the 250R's and putting 450R motors in them....but don't get me confused for a quad lover, i fucking hate them and that guys who race them.

i like all racers, quads and motocross, i like the quads a lot because a lot of guys hook up there quads and make them look sick and i just like there style, i love motocross too tho, its great. They both are a big part of my life

i've seen quads ruin tracks since i was 4, they've almost put our practice track outta commission because they sneak on the track when we're not there and then wash our berms out and they wear down the faces of our jumps since majority of quad riders can't jump the refrigerator with wheels they're riding. 99% of the tracks i race on have banned quads and the tracks that do allow them have been boycotted by motocross racers, we don't get along with quad riders because we all believe they're the cancer of the motocross world.

i went down to a track in nj, There is track for quads, and special tracks for motocross and thats the way it is there, its pretty smart

nice 125, here's my last 125 i had years ago, been with 4-strokes for the last few

What's it like riding a 4 stroke? Ive never ridden one. My uncle just picked up a 450 last week, but it's too cold to ride now.

|

11/30/2012 1:12 PM

like riding a rocket that strapped between your legs. They're constant traction, nice top-end and loads of bottom-end. Only downfalls are the maintenance costs, other than that they have the weight down to that of a 2-stroke and there's minimal engine braking (google it if you don't know what that is, lol)

|

11/30/2012 4:26 PM

How fast does a 450 accelerate?(compare it to something common.)

|

11/30/2012 4:41 PM

they have the power to weight ratio of a top fuel drag bike. I raced my KTM 520 SX motard vs. an R6 and i beat it from 0-60, i think the 0-60 time is like 3.2 seconds and there aren't many street cars that can beat them. I could get the 520 ported, polished and bored .80 over, add smaller gearing and it'll probably beat a 600 sport bike in the 1/8th. I've raced my buddies Vette in the 1/8th and beat it.
