I render it in 720p and 60fps but even on HD setting on YouTube it doesn't look as good as it did on my computer? Could it be because of the largeness of the video file (909mb) that YouTube compresses it?

Youtube probably just doesn't compress it right, that's the reason we have a vimeo account, videos usaully look better on vimeo, check it out for yourself we happen to have the same video on both our channels
