Hi all! I am a newbie mountain biker. I am looking at in terms of mountain bikes will not be top-notch and probably laughable by everyone on here, but I am looking at something around 300 bucks for starters.
Is there anything else you guys would recommend around that price point? Thanks in advance!

Craigslist. Avoid Walmart. Make sure it fits. There are so many different kinds of mountain biking though, what are you planning on doing with it? Also try mountain bike forums...
