Splash Guards on a BMX?

Hey, what the title says. I live in the Midwest where everywhere you go it's muddy and wet. Would splash guards get in the way for a bmx? Is it a bad/good idea? Post your thoughts.

...and probably crash a lot. BMX bikes (more specifically, BMX tires) aren't designed for wet terrain. Road surfaces get slick in a hurry. & to answer your question, "splash guards" or fenders would get in the way.
