Would Admins/ Mod's consider giving the ability to member's to allow us to delete our own started threads/topics ?

It should/would clear up a lot of unused threads/topics in here and also prevent new ones constantly being made up all the time, reduce clutter and would also take a load off the Admins/Mods from user's requesting them to delete their topics.

Just throwing it out there, what do other members think of this idea ?

Note: Any idea's for extra security features on this site to legitimize proper users ?

Terrible idea, a scammer could then delete his thread and leave the victim with no proof that they dealt with each other on here

Didn't think of that good point ! Seriously with the amount of people getting scammed on here maybe adding in some security features for this site would do a whole lot a good !

Some sort of verification system/ house address/ mobile number etc etc ?

actually, it's a great idea but just needs to be expanded upon.

they would not have to be completely deleted, just moved to an archive thread.

a great example of this is how the bmxmuseum runs their Swap Meet forum.
the op has the ability to lock the thread, which sends it to the SOLD thread where it is archived for 60 days.

or do like it's done in the For Sale thread on here and have a DELETED thread.
once the parts are sold, the op is supposed to copy the link and paste it in the deleted thread which then alerts the mod to delete it.

That would be good
