Position: BMX Instructors
The Summit Bechtel Reserve, Boy Scouts of America
New River Gorge, West Virginia

The Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve is a 10,600 acres facility in Southern West Virginia operated by the Boy Scouts of America. The Summit opened in 2013, hosting the 36,000 Scouts and leaders at the National Scout Jamboree. The Summit is also home to the Paul R. Christen National High Adventure Base, which opens in 2014. Christen National High Adventure Base programs focus on action and adventure sports, including climbing and rappelling, challenge courses, zip lines, canopy tours, skateboarding, BMX, mountain biking, and a wide array of shooting and archery disciplines.

We are seeking BMX Instructors to teach participants how to ride a BMX bike and help to navigate the various BMX tracks at the Summit. Staff will also help to maintain the course, gear and bikes. Qualifications:
• BMX experience required
• Experience teaching BMX strongly desired
• BMX racing experience desired.

Dates of Employment: May 27th – Aug. 18th 2014, Dates can be flexible for students or otherwise
