Tate Roskelley off Volume

World-renown creative genius Tate Roskelley has officially parted ways with Volume Bikes. Unfortunately, the split wasn't on the best of terms. Here's how he explained the situation via Instagram

"After ten years, I've decided to part ways with Volume Bikes. I wish the separation didn't have such a personal bitter ending. But, after taking a complete pay cut for the past two years in hopes to give the younger guys an opportunity, I was left overlooked. It might seem petty, but the fact they took my name off the Instagram bio and website without talking to me first shows a lack of camaraderie and solidified my decision. Being told "they didn't know what I've been up to lately" was a complete slap in the face (especially sicne three other Volume riders have parts in the same video I've been working on). I've always been the kind of guy to keep my mouth shut and be humble, but I feel it's time to speak from the heart. Maybe my shit just got too weird for them, and if that's the  case... I'll take it as a creative compliment. I've been more focused and riding better than I ever have. Moving forward, I've just filmed (in my opinion) one of my best video sections of my career for the upcoming Ride BMX "Headlights" video. I can't wait for you guys to check it out. Best of luck moving forward to the current team, I've been lucky to work with them. We will see what the future holds for me and my riding, but I truly feel it can only get better. Thanks to anyone who appreciates and is a fan of my riding."
