Spinner Wins and Spins at Skate 57 contest

Skate 57, aka Hackettstown park hosted its first annual bike jam today and was a success and a bangin’ time for sure. Mike Spinner spun his way into a victory at the house of metal by landing tailwhip variations one after another. Congrats to Spinner--he's on a roll. Riders in the Pro competition were having a great time and Jorge Herrera placed second with big tricks including a front flip. Anthony Villani, aka “NJ Brakeless” busted out with some wall-taps and technical moves and edged me out for a tie breaker for third place, Villani and I both ended with exact scores in the final. "Fede Cent" followed behind with fifth place and rode all good today with the use of Spinner’s bike in qualifying due to a broken brake cable. Special thanks to the Skate 57 gang for hosting this event, it was a good time. I also like to say thanks to Aaron Graff who did a cool job on the mic as MC for the event. I also have to mention Blak Rob--he was kickin’ ass until he had a nasty spill. We wish Rob a speedy recovery. -- Al DiMino
