Good starter bike, some pre-assembly issues

Rating:
The Good:

Good value for the money, works well once dialed in, great fit for my 6yr old who isn't tall enough for a 20". Bike was partially assembled when delivered. Mat Hoffman hand-signed the card that came with the bike.

The Bad:

Plastic chain guard (which was installed from the factory) didn't fit or wasn't installed properly and rubbed the crank; I just removed it. Headset and wheel bearings were extremely tight/rough; I had to adjust all. I could not adjust rear wheel bearings on one side because I didn't have a thin/special wrench to separate the inner cone from the nut. No front brake; I ordered/installed separately. The freewheel operation is rough/noisy; not what I'm used to from Shimano freewheels from bikes in the 1980s.

Overall Review:

Overall, a good investment for my son. This is his 2nd bike (1st bike was a smaller Trek with training wheels which we later removed).

Due to items in "the bad" section, it took a long time to get the bike set up and dialed in.
