    The Race Stem (product review)

    The Good:

nice design - all the weightsaving cut outs are underneath and inside for a nice clean look bolts are not hollow but are really high quality and the bsd logo is engraved on the top cap no slip at all

    The Bad:

little bit heavy but not my concern
    not very knee friendly

Overall Review: this stem is brilliantand is really worth the money one of the best looking stems $79 AUS from Strictly BMX

Posted by fattyre on 8/19/2013 1:24 AM

  • The Good:

the geometry - its brilliant for the rise, makes everything feel real comfortable anfd all the welds make it look very clean
the paint - got mine in ED black and the paint job is brilliant no chip and i have had plenty of bails from nozza's when the bike has landed bar first on the ground and nothing happenes no big scratches the strength - these bars are very strong no flex at all which is brilliant

    The Bad:

nothing much would say the cross tube could be a few mm higher but its nothing really its all visual and not enough BSD parts are sold through australian bike shops

Overall Review: these bars are brilliant for the price and quality of everything i bought my pair from Strictly BMX$79 AUS so go get them if you want 8.5'' by 29'' bars

Posted by fattyre on 8/18/2013 11:47 PM

  • The Good:

    The right geometry for me
    8.5" rise
    The gloss black is sick!
Paint doesn't chip or even scratch easy
    Light

    The Bad:

A little bit too much paint on the knurls, made my bars slip a lot. I just sanded that area down a bit and it's all good now :)

Overall Review: Great bars for $60 Just sand down the knurls a bit so your bars don't slip. But not too much to the point that all the paint comes off because it'll rust.

  • The Good:

I have the polished and it looks outstanding. Super sturdy and spins like magic.

    The Bad:

I have to use an impact driver to get the bolts off.....BUT that is mainly my fault because I don't like my parts coming loose.

Overall Review: I fell in love with this tank of a front hub. I recommend it to EVERYONE. Super strong and I trust it insanely. GO BUY ONE!

Five years ago - long before Monster, Vans, and the Donnasqueak tire, Alex Donnachie was a young shredder from Scotland putting in work at Unit 23. We caught up with Alex for one hour of riding on a cold winter day. From day one, it was clear Alex had a creative way of looking at riding, endless ...

  • The Good:

your measurements and shape, very comfortable

    The Bad:

mine had a crack at 4 months is a short time for a frame :/

Overall Review: actually this framework has no comparison is spectacular in form and also measures kriss kyle mounts it says this is a very good framework, wish I had a booster in the top tube as it is below

  • The Good:

Its thick, looks nice on the bike.

    The Bad:

It bent pretty easily, but not a lot and the sprocket bolt comes loose alot other than that there isn't anything wrong with it.

Overall Review: Its a pretty good sprocket, it can be overpriced at some stores though, overall i would recommend it, iv had it for at least 1.5 years and it stillgoing strong.

  • The Good:

These forks are so strong and light it is unbelievable. Guaranteed moneys worth even if they are the older ones.

    The Bad:

the top cap tends to round easily

Overall Review: awesome forks, well worth the price and they look great in all colours.

  • The Good:

it looks badass !!!! i run 3 pegs and i like hand rails they turn handrails into clouds favourite guard out there !!!!

    The Bad:

that on my vandaro2 the collars that come with them have a step to space it from the hub but the hubgaurds do not and my drop out is slightly bent so i need spacers between the guard and the hub kinda a piss off but hopefully will be fixed with new BSD ghetto forks !

Overall Review: Amazing hub guard everyone loves the look they grind great and even after i smash up the plastic i can go buy replacement ones ! a must have guard !!!

  • The Good:

its loud and it hasent broken anything yet

    The Bad:

    nothing at all

Overall Review: I love it! its light and is durable

Posted by SmithVikings on 8/17/2012 9:42 AM

  • The Good:

the front guard for the vandero2 works perfectly. due to the slide on system there is no wobble possible so your bearings will not be damaged as bad a they will be from shitty guards.
plastic slides well and will not leave dents in rails, copings ore else.
    replacement sleeves

    The Bad:

the mamoset one is quite thin so you'll easyly break off small corners of the guard. but it does not really matter, because its just the sleeve getting damaged, so the alloy core will hold up forever.
the rear (screw on) one is needet to be screwed on strongly, otherwise your hub will wobble and your bearings will get fucked.

Overall Review: really great working sleeves due to a clever design and good quality in production. no real problems

  • The Good:

this hub glides instead of spins. it is so smooth and it just keeps spinning. i love it. everyone that sees the female axles says they dont like it but this thing can handle anything

    The Bad:

hard to get the cones of the sides to get on the hubguard for it

Overall Review: amazing. i would recommend this hub to anyone.

  • The Good:

they look clean and go on very easily

    The Bad:

mine kinda wore down quicker than i thought they would but its all good because you can get replacement plastic for them on empire. :)

Overall Review: they are great. keep them spokes straight and un broken. ( the best way) and they dont cost a fortune. but still a little much. way worth it though

Posted by 412 crew on 7/20/2012 1:12 PM

  • The Good:

very strong, looks so clean. easy to install

    The Bad:

they wear down but that all hub guard do. nothing to worry about

Overall Review: they were super easy to put on. they look clean and slide like a dream. ive had mine for half a year now and they dont have a lot of wear on them. they hold up very nice. im a heavy grinder and i ride street so if they cant hold up to that, they are grade A on my list.

  • The Good:

    this is a great sprocket:
    strong
great design, saves weight and looks good
    comes in 28t
    good colours

    The Bad:

    nothing a great srpocket

Overall Review: this is an awsome sprocket prier to having this I had the tree bikes light sprocket abd I think this is better 5/5

  • The Good:

The plastic hub guard helps so much with grinding, and once it wore down I just bought a new plastic part, best guard I've ever used.

    The Bad:

Nothing was bad, it looked grinded after a lot of use but it is a hub guard and my hub was protected so all is good.

Overall Review: Best hub guard out there, the space between the guard and spokes is small so you don't catch on the edge. Recommended!

Posted by Fourpegs on 7/9/2012 3:05 PM

  • The Good:

didn't hang up while grinding, threaded on to my hub since it was hub specific and wasn't a bitch to get into my dropouts like most are.

    The Bad:

as soon as the first piece chipped off of it, the whole guard went to shit and kept breaking in random places

Overall Review: it's a nice guard, I had it for about 6 months and actually could just replace the sleeve and it'll be good as new but I have an S&M guard now and is much nicer. if you grind a lottttttttt it might not be for you though

Posted by sundaybmxRR on 7/8/2012 8:36 PM

  • The Good:

plastic so no dents, metal insert, apparently fits pretty much all hubs.

    The Bad:

on my old frame the drop out dented in to the guard a little bit

Overall Review: i have tried my best to break it but it simply wont break
